About Me
By now you should at least know my name. If it isn’t obvious, I really can’t help you.
Allow me to take a brief moment of your time to let you know about myself and this place.
I was born, raised, schooled, and graduated in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. During that time, I attended Kawartha Lakes Bible College and Trent University. I have a BA Joint Honours in Philosophy and English Literature. For those of you familiar with Liberal Arts degrees, it should come as no surprise that I neither philosophize nor critique literature for a living. Instead, I’ve been blessed to pursue divergent tracks. Somewhat ironically, my day job has me crunching numbers and applying analytics.
At the present, I live with my wife in the general vicinity of Toronto. Together, we are blessed to be a part of Harvest Bible Chapel York Region. As you will see here – I love writing, listening to music, reading books, and applying technology usefully. I am currently (and slowly) pursuing my Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary by distance, with an eye toward giving my life to “equipping the saints for the work of the ministry” (Eph. 4:12).
Most of all, I love the God of the Bible, revealed in his Son, Jesus Christ. I love doing whatever I can to help people to understand the incredible ways that what God has communicated to us in the Bible changes everything as He speaks into our lives. That said, I also fully acknowledge that my love for God and for His word is a gift – it’s not something I conjured up out of myself, but rather something I don’t deserve or want on my own that God has given graciously.
I hope you enjoy reading the “resonance” of my reformation; the words that come out of me as I learn, walk, and grow more and more into the likeness of Jesus. My prayer is that “all may see my progress” (1 Tim. 4:15) even here in these posts. It’s to that end that I type.
