A well-thought-through review, and a refreshing one in the midst of so much knee-jerking. I'm glad that you noted "Allah" as being another name of God, albeit distinctly Arabic in our Western reactionism. It's actually also one of the overarchingly Semitic names for God, birthed from a widely used group of current languages (approx. 467 million people) which includes both Arabic and Hebrew. There's definitely a ton of Sufi influence, with "The Beetle King..." seeming almost entirely drawn from Muhaiyaddeen's similar story in his 'The Divine Luminous Wisdom that Dispels Darkness'. The last line of that song kicks my butt, however, as it's drawn word for word from the Sayings of the Desert Fathers, who were the earliest of Christian monastics (3rd-6th century desert dwellers in Egypt and Palestine). I don't know if Aaron's reading the Sayings, but it would encourage me to find out that he is - they're quite wonderful.<br />Again, my thanks.
