Current Tunage: Underoath – Too Bright To See Too Loud To Hear
It always takes me a couple weeks to really catch on to new Underoath records (at least, since Define The Great Line…). The new disc “Lost In The Sound Of Separation” is no exception to that new and relatively untested rule. I loves it. It is stucks in my head badly. I can’t stop singing it. I can’t stop screaming it. It’s very good.

New poem fragment (poem incomplete):

Happiness
Less an event now, more a state
That you and I, and we create

…how sharp the edge?

Current Tunage: As Cities Burn – Clouds
(If) Hearts are really our guides, we are truly alone…

Today I watched Mark Driscoll’s recent appearance at the 2008 Desiring God conference which was entitled: “How Sharp the Edge? Christ, Controversy, and Cutting Words”.

Suffice it to say, it is Driscoll at his very best. I’m still digesting what I’ve heard, but the challenge to me (and perhaps even more so to many I know) is going to be immense applying some of what he has brought to the attention of this branch of theological persuasion I call home.

Do watch it. <3
